Juice is beginning to make waves in Toronto. Making their name known at such venues as the Horseshoe Tavern, the Silver Dollar Room and Lee's Palace, their multi-genre style has stood out locally. After only a year and a half of being a band, they are already on the precipice of becoming a Canadian phenomenon.
The one man band, Tropics, had a recent release called Parodia Flare. The talented Chris Ward is a 22 year old chap from the UK, signed to Planet Mu, which also represents the one and only Benga. Tropics’ latest album Parodia Flare was released September 19th and you can get it here.
Last night at The Palace was a good one. Whether it was the chilled vibes of Southern Shores, the synth driven dance pop of Kidstreet, or the New Wave textures and captivating persona of Twin Shadow, there was something for everyone
Twin Shadow is the stage name of the stylish New Yorker, George Lewis Jr. Twin Shadow utilizes a kind of retro-esque indie rock that has undeniable 80’s new wave ties.
